My name is David Morefield and I am a photographer from Houston, Texas. After many years of wanting to get into photography, I had the opportunity to go to Israel and that is when I decided to learn everything that I could about photography. I fell in love and have been a shutterbug ever since. I am asked all the time, “What kind of photography do you do?” My answer is very simple, if I am paying for me to go somewhere, then I will shoot what I want, when I want and how I want; if I am hired to go out and shoot, then I shoot what you want, when you want and how you want. I guess it doesn’t get any simpler than that.
One of my passions is history, so I thoroughly enjoy going to places of historical significance and capturing it all in an image that will have an impact on someone. My trip to Israel was full of historical sites and I got a lot of pleasure with bringing that beauty back home with me. Another subject that I enjoy shooting is architecture and cityscapes. I was raised in the city, so shooting buildings, especially at night, is something that I rather enjoy. Shooting during daylight is okay sometimes, but I thrive on the challenge of nighttime photography.
